Ingredients
- 1 cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
- 1½ cups granulated white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp red liquid food coloring
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups crushed Oreo Cookies (cream removed)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 410°F (210°C).
- In a stand mixer, combine the cubed cold butter and granulated sugar. Mix on low for one minute, then on high for another minute until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Incorporate red food coloring and cocoa powder; blend until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully blended.
- Chill the dough uncovered for about 20 minutes.
- Form dough into approximately 3.5 oz balls and coat with crushed Oreos.
- Place on parchment-lined baking trays and bake for 10–11 minutes.
- Allow cookies to cool before serving.
