Ingredients
- 1 medium cauliflower (cut into florets)
- 1/3 cup rice flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice apple vinegar
- 1–2 tbsp Sriracha sauce (to taste)
- 4–5 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
- 2–3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, cornstarch, garlic powder (if using), and water to form a batter.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
- While baking, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, Sriracha, garlic, ginger, honey/maple syrup, cornstarch, and water in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened.
- Toss baked cauliflower in the sticky sauce until evenly coated; return to the oven for another 5 minutes if desired.
- Serve garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
