- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 ounces hot espresso
- 1 ounce cinnamon dolce syrup (from above)
- 1 cup whole milk (frothed and hot)
- Optional toppings: whipped cream, ground cinnamon, cinnamon stick
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract, and water. Stir until dissolved and let simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and cool.
- Brew 2 ounces of hot espresso and pour into your favorite mug.
- Heat 1 cup of whole milk until steaming (not boiling) and froth it.
- Add cooled cinnamon dolce syrup to the espresso. Slowly pour frothed milk over the mixture.
- Top with whipped cream if desired, sprinkle with ground cinnamon, or add a cinnamon stick for garnish.
