- 2 lbs beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (for naan)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1 tbsp melted butter (for cooking)
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
Instructions
- Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat. Sear the beef cubes until browned on all sides.
- Remove beef and sauté onions, garlic, and ginger in the same pot until onions are translucent.
- Add spices and crushed tomatoes; cook for one minute until fragrant.
- Return beef to the pot, pour in beef broth and coconut milk, season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for at least 3 hours until beef is tender.
- For the naan, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Add yogurt and warm milk; knead into dough.
- Roll out portions of dough into flat discs and cook in a heated skillet until bubbles form; brush with melted butter mixed with minced garlic.
