- 3 sticks unsalted butter
- 4 1/2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
- 1 1/2 cups 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate chips
- 6 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 ounces miniature peanut butter cups (chopped)
- Additional chocolate chips for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a lined 9×13 baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and chocolates over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs; then mix in sugars and salt until combined.
- Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla.
- Sift together flour and baking powder, then fold into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour half the batter into the pan; layer with chopped peanut butter cups; top with remaining batter and additional chocolate chips.
- Bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before serving.
