- 5–6 ripe peaches, cut into wedges
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Maple syrup (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and melt cubed butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar (reserve some), baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla until just combined.
- Toss peaches with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup in another bowl.
- Layer half the peaches over melted butter, pour batter on top without stirring, then add remaining peaches.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes until golden brown around edges.
- For the drizzle, boil additional butter and maple syrup for about 2 minutes.
- Serve warm topped with ice cream and maple butter.
