Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm water and active dry yeast in a bowl; let it sit for about five minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and Italian seasoning.
- Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients; add the yeast mixture and olive oil, then stir until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about eight minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for one hour or until doubled in size.
- After rising, punch down the dough and fold in shredded cheese; shape into a loaf or ball.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover again with a towel, and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F.
- Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
