Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 6 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about one minute). Pour in chicken broth and scrape any browned bits off the bottom.
- Lower heat and stir in heavy cream, thyme, and oregano. Allow to simmer for about three minutes until thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Let it soak in flavors for an additional five minutes.
- Serve warm with extra sauce drizzled on top alongside rice or vegetables.
