- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 2 large eggs

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and cold butter until crumbly. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish to form the crust.
- In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. If using nuts, fold them in now.
- Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until slightly puffed and golden around the edges.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
