  • ½ cup apple juice or water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Wash and core the apples, leaving the bottoms intact.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, chopped nuts, and raisins/dried cranberries.
  4. Fill each cored apple with the mixture and top with a piece of butter.
  5. Place stuffed apples upright in a baking dish and pour apple juice or water into the dish.
  6. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for about 20 minutes; then remove foil and bake for another 15–20 minutes until tender.
