Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, chai spice blend, and salt. Pulse to mix.
- Add cold diced butter and pulse until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add chilled cream and eggs; pulse until dough forms.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes in plastic wrap.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to desired thickness and cut into scones.
- Brush tops with egg wash and bake for 20–22 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, chai spice blend, vanilla extract, heavy cream, maple syrup, and salt until thickened.
- Glaze cooled scones and let set before serving.
