Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water (100°F – 110°F)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, activate the yeast by combining warm water and active dry yeast. Let sit for about five minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Mix until a sticky dough forms; then fold in minced garlic and chopped rosemary.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about five minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about one hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Punch down the risen dough and shape it into muffin-sized portions. Place them in greased muffin tins and let them rise again for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake muffins for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
