- 1 (9 inch) single crust homemade pie crust
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 (15oz) can pure pumpkin puree or 2 cups homemade pumpkin puree
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
Instructions
- Prepare the pie crust and press it into a pie dish evenly.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, both sugars, pumpkin puree, heavy cream, vanilla extract, spices, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F (220°C), then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 45 minutes until set.
- Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing. Serve with homemade whipped cream.
