Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup ice-cold water
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the cold unsalted butter and blend with a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a measuring jug, mix together apple cider vinegar and ice-cold water. Slowly pour this mixture over the dry ingredients while mixing until it forms a dough.
- Gather the dough into a ball without kneading it, divide into two disks, wrap in foil, and chill in the refrigerator for one hour.
- Roll out one disk between two sheets of baking parchment into a circle slightly larger than a 9-inch pie dish. Fit into the greased pie dish and return to the fridge until ready to use.
