- ⅓ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup bourbon
- 1 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Coat the chicken: In a bowl, mix cornstarch with salt and pepper. Toss in chicken pieces.
- Brown the chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until browned on both sides and set aside.
- Prepare the sauce: Sauté garlic in the skillet, add all sauce ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Simmer together: Add chicken back to the sauce and simmer for about 10 minutes until reduced.
- Optional thickening: Mix additional cornstarch with water and stir into sauce; simmer for another 2 minutes if desired.
