Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter with eggs and vanilla until smooth. Fold this mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the sour cherries, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
