- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 3 T taco seasoning
- 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 4 large eggs
- 1/3 cup chunky salsa
- 1 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie pan.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in taco seasoning with the cooked beef and transfer to the greased pie pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, eggs, salsa, 1 cup of cheese, garlic salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture over the beef in the pie pan and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes until the center is set and top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing.
