- 1 large head cauliflower
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400F (200C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Trim the outer leaves and stem of the cauliflower, keeping the core intact. Slice into 1-inch thick steaks (about 2–3 steaks).
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well.
- Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak with the seasoned oil mixture.
- Place on the baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until tender with golden edges.
- Optional: Broil for an additional 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Allow to rest briefly before serving.
