- 1/8 tsp salt
- Optional: 6 oz chocolate chips, 1 tbsp lemon juice or liqueur, 1/4 tsp instant coffee
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine half the water with sugar and heat until dissolved.
- Whisk in cocoa powder and salt; bring to a boil for 30 seconds.
- If using, add chocolate chips and remaining water; stir until melted.
- Chill mixture until cold.
- Pour into an ice cream machine and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Serve immediately or freeze for a firmer texture.
